"This is Wayne from ___": the logo changes, your name doesn't—reputation, relationships and…
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: The most important part of this sentence isn’t what comes after it. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Do you have FOWA?
Fear Of Walking Away.
At some point in your career, you’ll feel it.
I did.
Years ago, I made the decision to walk away from being the CMO of an MLB team.
On paper, it made no sense.
Big brand.
Big title.
Big stage.
And a massive unknown on the other side.
When the stadium lights turn off…
Who’s still standing next to you?
That’s the question.
Because titles and logos can quietly become your identity.
And if you’re not careful, they can inflate your sense of importance too.
Walking away stripped all of that.
It showed me who was really in my corner.
Who was there for me…
And who was there for the spotlight.
But it also did something else.
It reignited my passion.
People I hadn’t spoken to in years reached out.
Introductions were made.
Doors opened.
CUENTO Marketing (opens the CUENTO site in a new tab) started to take shape.
That’s the part no one talks about.
Fear Of Walking Away is real.
But so is what’s on the other side of it.
