Staff may be bored of the hat shuffle, but fans love it: are you bored with it, or are they?
I am completely bored by the hat shuffle.

It’s me, hi, I’m a talker, it’s me… 🎤 But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: listening is far more important than talking.

After spending the last two days leading focus groups for a partner, I’m reminded just how much can be gained from listening. Here are some of my favorite benefits of listening to your customers:
1️⃣ They want to share. Why guess what people want? Just ask.
2️⃣ Being heard matters. The simple act of asking builds trust and loyalty.
3️⃣ Unintended insights. You’ll often learn more than you set out to discover.
4️⃣ Data over pressure. Listening gives you clarity and confidence to make informed decisions.
Focus groups were a cornerstone of our success in team sports, and now we’re bringing those practices to our partners across industries.
Ask. Listen. Decide.
That’s how you win. 💡
