Observation

Taking his daughter to work taught the most important lesson: how to treat people.

As my oldest daughter’s interests have evolved toward creativity and entrepreneurship, I have made an effort to expose her to what we are building at CUENTO Marketing (opens the CUENTO site in a new tab). I want her to see that it’s not just about posting on Instagram or TikTok, I want her to see the work, passion and planning that goes into creating powerful and impactful storytelling.

This weekend while she and I walked around Snapdragon Stadium I realized that she was learning the most important lesson I could teach her…

How to treat people.

We met an incredibly helpful security guard, who took the time to personally show us where we needed to go. We all chatted as we walked and when we arrived, I stopped and asked him his name. We shook hands and I said “Thank you!”

My daughter asked, “why did you ask him his name?”

I said, “he went out of his way to help us and make a personal connection with us, I wanted to do the exact same thing in response!”

She smiled and got it.

Mission accomplished!
