I love when I get a photo memory that motivates me.

I love when I get a photo memory that motivates me.
This picture is from eight years ago when we unveiled The Finsiders on Fox Sports Florida after building this show from ground up. When I arrived in Miami, I was told this type of production could only be achieved with massive crews and budgets. Thanks to some great leadership and coaching, we didn’t let traditional thinking slow down our innovation and creativity. We started with a daily audio only show in a room with borrowed shipping blankets as the soundproofing, then we added a set that we had to cut down to fit into the space we had. At that point we added remote cameras and started streaming a video product to prove the concept until we got it approved by Fox Sports’ quality and standards.
This show was not produced with a huge crew and budget. It was produced by one audio producer and one video producer, it was available LIVE on dolphins.com, iHeartMedia’s sports radio station and FOX Sports Florida daily with live chats available for our fans throughout the show.
I loved this show and the people I got to work with everyday. This picture made me smile in a big way and was a reminder to keep pushing and as a leader to make sure I provide my team with the support they need to create what THEY believe is possible.

We have a tendency in business to take people who are great at their jobs and eventually put people underneath them.
