I had coffee with a friend recently who lost his job.
I had coffee with a friend recently who lost his job.
During the conversation he started walking me through what he had actually been working on over the last few years.
And I was shocked.
Not because it wasn’t impressive.
Because I had no idea.
He had his head down doing great work.
And for a long time, that used to be enough.
It isn’t anymore.
I gave him the same advice I’ll share here:
LinkedIn is one of the greatest assets you have to tell the world who you are today and what you’re capable of.
Not someday.
Now.
Because the worst time to start telling your story is the day you need help.
Nobody wakes up wondering what you’re working on today.
But if you consistently sharing, they will start to understand:
What you do.
How you think.
What you build.
What you care about.
Opportunity rarely comes from a resume.
It comes from awareness.
And awareness only happens when you show up.
