I love the feedback that I have received from my post about culture last week not only publicly, but from others who shared privately.

I love the feedback that I have received from my post about culture last week not only publicly, but from others who shared privately.
When leaders make it about THEM, they are no longer leading, they are commanding. An intelligent and confident team will not last too long under those conditions.
I have also heard from folks that wanted to talk about “culture tactics”, you know those feel good tactics that look great on a social media post, but actually don’t mean a damn thing to the staff. Back to the opening line from the original post, it’s not about that foosball table…
Culture is about creating an atmosphere where everyone is working towards a common goal and everyone is accountable to eachother. Next you need open communication across the whole team to keeps everyone feeling involved in the results. Finally, you need to sprinkle in some fun and make sure you celebrate the wins together.
Thanks for playing along.
