There are many challenges running your own business, but this is my toughest personal challenge… 😓

The creative side of my brain doesn’t operate well when I’m stressed. I realized this challenge very early in my career, and I need to be very aware of this when creativity is needed from me. 🧠💡

As my career evolved, I began leading creative people, and my job became to absorb the stresses for them, so they could do what they do. Now, owning a business, stresses are inevitable, but so is the need for me to be creative for our partners. 🎨

So, I have to block my stresses at times to get the creative juices flowing. 🍃

Here are some of my tricks:

1. Play music 🎶 – The inner DJ comes out and forces me to forget about other things so I can mix some music together. 🎧

2. Take a drive 🚗 – Preferably near the ocean with music playing. 🌊

3. Fly a drone 🚁 – It takes enough focus and attention that I have to block out the noises. 📸

I share this because I got to fly last week, and I felt so rejuvenated after. I hope you enjoy some of the highlights from Walter Fontanilla and my shots around Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. 📍

Anyone have other tricks they use to reenergize their creativity? 💡
