A whole vibe—but no clue where I was headed.
To the grads out there (and the parents quietly panicking behind them):
It’s OK to not know what’s next.
Seriously. It’s normal not to have it all figured out.
At this point in my life, I was just exploring.
Trying different things. Following curiosity.
Living through the awkward phases and questionable fashion choices—searching for what felt like me.
Spoiler alert: I didn’t become a boy-band member, although I’m still holding out hope.
But I did keep evolving.
And every random stop, side hustle, and left turn shaped who I am today.
If you’re walking across that stage and wondering, “What now?”
Here’s my advice:
Explore boldly. Be curious. Try things. Fail. Start over. Keep going.
You’re not behind. You’re just beginning.
Parents—cheer for the effort, not just the plan.
Let them experiment. Let them wander.
Because one day they’ll look back, like I am now, and realize those uncertain years were exactly what they needed.
