– Most people when they introduce me.

Titles and big brands bring credibility, especially when you only have a split second to make someone care. I get it—and honestly, I appreciate every introduction I get.

But here’s the one I prefer:

“This is Wayne. He co-founded a consulting company called CUENTO (opens the CUENTO site in a new tab) that’s grown to 17 full-time people. They’ve worked with MLB and over 20% of its teams, plus organizations across every major league and college sports. They help teams drive revenue and elevate the fan experience—and that’s just their sports division. You should see what they’re doing with B2B brands, automotive, resorts, beverage clients, insurance and others.”

I totally understand why people lead with the Padres—it’s a shorthand that opens doors.

But CUENTO Marketing isn’t just what I do now — it’s what I’m most proud of.

How do people introduce you?
