Observation
A rattlesnake in the yard: experience replaces panic with process, in business too.
I had plans for my evening.
Observation
USA Hockey is trending after that gold medal moment.
Championship stage.
Everything on the line.
And the message to the team?
“Be confident. Take a breath.”
Simple.
But that’s what pressure exposes.
Not talent.
Composure.
In business, the pressure doesn’t come with a crowd and a scoreboard.
It comes with payroll.
Investors.
Deadlines.
Expectations.
When it feels like a Game 7, most leaders get louder.
The best ones get calmer.
Confidence under pressure isn’t hype.
It’s regulation.
Sports shows us first what leadership really requires.
Not intensity.
Control.
If you’re building something right now:
Don’t rush.
Don’t panic.
Don’t perform for the crowd.
Be confident.
Take a breath.
Then execute.
What a Lesson From Sports.
