Karaoke is the ultimate equalizer for building real connection at team retreats.
The biggest lessons I’ve learned from my mentors haven’t always been about business strategy—they’ve been about people.

We’ve made the toughest decision since starting CUENTO Marketing (opens the CUENTO site in a new tab):
After 5 years of building a dynamic remote company, CUENTO is moving to an office in 2025. 🏢
This wasn’t an easy decision, and it comes with sacrifices across the board. But after careful thought, here are the top 5 reasons we’re making this massive change:
1️⃣ CULTURE: With so many new faces joining CUENTO, Katie and I want to be around our team to ensure our culture and expectations are positively influencing their work.
2️⃣ CREATIVE: Our mission is to create an environment where creatives can create. This move is a huge win toward that goal. 🎨
3️⃣ COLLABORATION: Zoom and Slack have been great, but some collaboration just can’t happen virtually. We’re excited to unlock new levels of teamwork. 🤝
4️⃣ EFFICIENCY: Projects take longer when disconnected. This move will help us eliminate lag time and work more seamlessly together.
5️⃣ GROWTH:
• First, we need to solidify #1-4 before we can grow the team.
• Second, being in the same space will accelerate personal and professional growth for everyone.
I personally love working from home (as do many on our team), but this adjustment is vital for our company’s next phase.
This is just part of the journey for our company and are open to adjustments as we go, but we need to commit to this exploration to help us evolve.
Thank you to our team for their feedback as we navigated these new waters for us. We appreciate your trust and commitment to what we are building.
P.S. The smiles in this picture represent how excited Katie and I are about this move. The decision was tough, but now that’s it’s been made, we are energized about what’s ahead.
