The Game Isn't Enough
What 47 college football programs tell us about the future of the live sports experience
Observation
A lesson more salespeople should embrace:
Deals don’t fall from the sky.
They may feel that way when your pipeline has been quiet and an unexpected opportunity appears.
But every deal has a story.
An article you or your team wrote.
A relationship you invested in.
A referral you never knew happened.
An ad that your marketing team ran.
Recently a friend told me to stop feeling “lucky” when an “out of the blue” deal happened and start tracing it backward.
Where did it start?
What created trust?
What made them call now?
Problem solvers spend so much time studying losses.
We should study our wins just as hard.
Because the next deal won’t fall from the sky.
It will grow from work you did long before anyone noticed.
Study the sky, stay positive and keep swinging!
